Pivot Door Sets

A pivot door rotates on a top and bottom pivot point rather than side-mounted hinges. The MB-86N uses an off-centre rotation axis, creating a dramatic visual effect where part of the door extends behind the frame plane as it opens. This allows for exceptionally large, heavy door leaves — up to 1950mm wide and 3400mm tall, weighing up to 500kg — that would be impractical with conventional hinges.

The MB-86N system is available in three thermal variants: ST (standard), SI (thermally improved), and SI+ (maximum performance). The SI+ variant with PUR foam infill panels achieves Ud values from 0.65 W/(m²K) — well within Part L Building Regulations requirements. The system also achieves Class 4 air permeability (EN 12207) and Class 4A watertightness (EN 12208).

All RAL colours are available as standard powder coat. Textured colours are available from the Aluprof range. Wood-effect finishes include Golden Oak (ADEC D101), Swamp Oak (ADEC D502), Walnut (ADEC O102), Wenge (ADEC W205), and Winchester (ADEC W645). Specialist infill materials — quartz sinter and painted glass — are available on selected PD models.

Yes. Many PD models support electronic integrations within the pull handle — including LED backlighting (warm or cold white), fingerprint readers, touch sensors, and microswitches. These are factory-fitted options — specify at the time of order. The locking system accommodates one or two espag lock bodies depending on the model and door height.

Standard RAL colour models on stock leaf sizes typically carry a 4–6 week lead time. Custom sizes, specialist infills (quartz sinter, glass panels), and bespoke colours require 8–10 weeks. The MB-86N pivot system is designed for quick installation — concealed hinges are pre-fitted and the 'zero' threshold option integrates directly with floor-level drainage channels.
