Door Sets

A composite door uses a rigid polyurethane foam core sandwiched between glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) skins, bonded to a timber-reinforced frame. This gives it the visual appearance of a traditional timber door — with grain texture and deep panel profiles — but none of timber's maintenance requirements. It won't warp, crack, or fade, and is significantly more thermally efficient and secure than a standard uPVC door.

Yes. All FBS composite door sets across our Nottinghamshire, Premium, and Smooth Collections are tested and certified to PAS 24:2022 — the enhanced security performance requirement referenced in Approved Document Q of the Building Regulations. This is required for all new-build and replacement doors in England and Wales. Our sets are also Secured by Design approved and carry Sold Secure Diamond accreditation on the ABS ATK+ cylinder.

All FBS composite doors are available in 50+ standard colours as stock options, plus any RAL colour for both sides of the door independently — ideal for developments where the external colour must match a scheme while the internal side uses a neutral. The Smooth Selection offers the same colour flexibility with its ultra-modern stippled finish. Colour consistency across project batches is guaranteed when ordered together.

Standard colours and sizes from the Nottinghamshire Collection are typically dispatched within 5–7 working days. Premium Collection and Smooth Selection orders in standard configurations carry a 10–14 working day lead time. Custom RAL colours and bespoke sizes require 15–20 working days. All deliveries are to confirmed, predictable dates — we do not operate on estimated windows. Contact your account manager to reserve production slots for large projects.

Yes. The Veka Halo frame can be specified in any colour to match or contrast the door leaf — both inside and outside independently. For example, an anthracite grey external with a white internal frame is a common combination on new-build projects. Frame colour is selected at point of order. Arched frames and sculptured or chamfered profiles are both available across the full colour range.
